Sunday School
(9:00-10:00 AM)
Sunday school is important in the spiritual development of Christians. It encourages spiritual interaction between the students and the teachers, as well as providing a comprehensive way of learning as a group. Ephesians 4:11, includes teachers within the ministry of the church. “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers”.

The foundational base for New St. Mark's Sunday school is found in God’s Word. Jesus charged us with reaching and teaching children and families—to help them become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Our mission is to make the fullness of God’s word a reality in every believer’s life; and to build a biblical foundation in the lives of individuals that will transform families, friends, and the community for the Kingdom of God.

Baptist Training Union (BTU)

(10:00-10:45 AM)

The Baptist Training Union (BTU) Ministry provides spiritual enrichment; gives training with practical application in Christian doctrine, develop believers to be effective in the role of Christian leadership and discipline as we focus on the life and work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Training helps to equip saints to be productive and educated members of our Church and the community and become more knowledgeable of our Baptist doctrine.

We strive to assist in the articulation of our beliefs, doctrines, and training. We perform our roles as workers and leaders in our church, based on the authority of God's Word."

Sunday Morning Worship

(11:00 AM)

The purpose of our worship is to glorify, honor, praise, exalt, and please God. Our worship must show our adoration and loyalty to God for His grace in providing us with the way to escape the bondage of sin, so we can have the salvation He so much wants to give us. The nature of the worship God demands is the prostration of our souls before Him in humble and contrite submission.

Congregational worship brings together God’s word, prayer, and fellowship, and so makes for the greatest

means of God’s ongoing grace in the Christian life.

It is a collective, communal, congregational practice–and the gathered sound and harmony of a congregation singing as one is integral to the practice of worship. It is a way of acknowledging the reality that, in Christ, we are one body.

True worship is seeing afresh the tremendous worth of God and, in response, giving Him the best of everything you have. God calls us to worship Him. He commands it, He desires it, He pursues it, He deserves it, and He will reward it. For God bestows His provision, grace, sovereignty, and power on those who worship Him in spirit and in truth.

"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25(KJV)

Wednesday Bible Study

(8:00 PM)

To be approved by God, one must rightly divide the word of truth.  In order for one to rightly divide the word of truth, one must know the word of truth.  In order for one to know the word of truth he must study it.  The only book that tells of man's origin and destiny is the Bible. It ought to be of utmost importance to every person to read, study and learn what the Bible has to say, because it answers the questions that people have ask since the beginning of the universe. "Where did I come from?"  "Why am I here?" "What will happen to me when I die?"

Paul told us, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him" (Colossians 3:16-17).

We must let the word of Christ dwell in us "richly." The only way we can do this is to study and know the word of Christ.
