Trusting Others!

There is real strength and joy that comes from Christian friends. Burdens are made lighter by sharing them with others. To build trust we must be able to share with others honestly. Hiding our faults or shortcomings from others may feed our ego or improve our image, but it doesn’t build trust. Trusting others is essential if we want to help. Friends will trust you more when they see how you overcome problems and disappointments. We must remember that trusting is a two-way street-trusting others and insuring others to trust you.

Being in good company also means that we are good company. Always tell the truth. Don’t make promises you can’t or have no intention of keeping. Be a good listener, people will trust those they believe understand them.

Wanting others to trust you means that you must become more trusting yourself, try extending your trust when the situation calls for it.

Don’t expect your friends to trust you more than you trust them.

Prayer:

Father help us to become more trusting with each other. Help us to be true to our words in every aspect of our lives so that when we witness to others concerning our relationship with You that we will be found trustworthy. We thank You for our hope. We thank you for your love.

We thank You for Christ, in whose name we Pray.

AMEN!

The Gift of Serving

The Lord said “I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and his sons to do the work at the tent of the meeting.”(Numbers 8:19) (NIV)

All who do God’s work need help. After the tabernacle’s construction, God set apart the Levites to assist Aaron, The high priest. In the verse quoted above, God described the Men as “gifts to Aaron and his sons.” What a enormous help these Men were to Aaron and the Israelites! They served in the daily duties of the tabernacle sharing the burden of disassembling the tabernacle, carrying all of its pieces when thy moved camp, and reassembling everything upon arrival at a new place. We can offer our Church and Christian mini tries the gift of our service. Whether we teach, clean greet people or regularly pray for our Church. God can use our work to help further the Kingdom and to encourage our leaders. None of our gifts are too small.
